Zaffran north indian food restaurant at GK-1 – Review

Went of Saturday night for dinner with my cousin. Zaffran is in N2 block of GK-1, located on the 3rd floor of Kasbah restaurant. Sign board of Kasbah is easily visible from parking area and you won’t face any problem in finding the place.

We reached around 8:30 and we easily got the parking space and table for 2.

Ambience

*Ambience of the restaurant is beautiful, full of plants and glass walls made it a perfect place to spend good time with family and friends. We have got the corner table near to glass walls, very comfortable sitting and view outside was giving good vibes.

Snacks

In *starters we had a *Non veg platter which was served with mint chatni and onion salad. Roasted *Tandoori chicken, chicken *tikka and *fish tikka was very delicious, chicken seeks was average. Platter portion was good enough for 2 of us, we had variety in our plate and tasted 4-5 of their snacks.
In *drinks (cocktails) we had *Sangria, *Cosmopolitan, *Bloody Marry, *LIIT and *Mojito and I must say every drink was made to perfection. I would say the best  *bloody marry I had in recent times.

Main Course

In *main course we had *veg biryani with *raita, *dal makhani, *mutton curry, *chicken lababdar and in breads we had  *michi parantha and *butter naan served with onion salad and mint chatni.
*Veg biryani with raita served beautiful in small matki. The quality of rice was very good and the aroma was their. I simply loved it.
*Dal makhani– My theory is that if any North Indian / Mughlai restaurant can not make a nice dal makhani then they can not make other dishes yummy too. Here I’ll give zaffran 100 out of 100.
*Mutton curry – Simply loved it. Boneless mutton pieces was very very soft and easily melted. Perfectly made.
*Chicken lababdar – Chicken pieces was very very soft and the masalas are perfect.
*Mirchi parantha – It was actually not so spicy, green chillies was used to decorate the parantha. It not only looking beautiful but the taste was superb too.

Desserts

In *desserts we had *Kulfi and *Phirni. *Phirni was average and didn’t liked much whereas the *kulfi steal the show. My mom used to prepare such *kulfies at home and zaffran’s kulfi was like the same.
*Service was very good and staff here was very courteous. Restaurant *Manager came to us couple of times to check things.

Please note* – book table in advance on weekends and parking space can be a issue in  area after 10pm.

It is always good to spend quality time with your loved ones and Zaffran’s food and hospitality made it more memorable. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
